Health & Safety Policy for Glow
Updated November 17, 2021
Dear Glow Family & Friends,
We are so excited to see you this year and make holiday memories together! We know that so many of you are eager to attend events in shared spaces again—we certainly are! But we also know that safety and security remain your number one priority and we feel the same. As our season approaches, we want you and your family & friends to feel comfortable and safe while enjoying the show. Here are some of the ways we’re throwing one of Alberta’s best Holiday parties, while keeping everyone’s safety front of mind:
This season, Glow has doubled our space. We are now hosted in two big halls instead of just one at Edmonton Expo Centre. This is to minimize any possibility of crowding, but to still feature all the attractions we are known for.
We have increased staff and protocol for our cleaning teams this season. This ensures that the high touch areas are thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
Our host facility, Edmonton Expo Centre, is owned by The City of Edmonton. As such, we will by abiding by current City of Edmonton facility operating conditions. All guests to Glow (except those guests under 12 years of age) must provide:
- Alberta vaccine records with QR codes (paper or digital) is now the only valid Alberta-issued proof of vaccination accepted by operators participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program.
- proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories not allowed, or
- documentation of medical exemption.
We will amend protocol and notify our guests accordingly if the City of Edmonton makes any changes to these guidelines. Glow looks forward to safely welcoming guests of all ages to our festival and we hope you have as good a time attending as we have putting it together! We’ve come through so much as a community these past 18 months, it is time to celebrate.
See you soon!
